Should I do something with my values before I put them into XPM4 when I get encoding like this in the resulting mail:

Subject: =?utf-8?Q?Ordrebekreftelse_Lokalguiden_-_Br=F8dr?=
=?utf-8?Q?ene_=D8stbye_AS?=

It's triggered by the Norwegian letters

Thunderbird in Linux only shows question mark icons for that encoded value, however in GMail it displays properly.

Another mail displaying properly in Thunderbird is encoded like this:

Subject: =?iso-8859-1?Q?Ukeskupp_H=F8yvinget_Trainer_til_superpris?=

Perhaps it's only Thunderbird that is buggy.

I was able to get ISO-8859-1 and by that fixing the characters that did not display properly in Thunderbird by simpling adding "iso-8859-1" as the charset on all methods accepting the charset arguments.

etc...

Now when comparing the mail source the encoding is identical to the one I've seen in my other mail who are displayed properly. Why utf-8 wasn't working is probably not XPM's fault, but the mail client.
