Is there any more documentation of how error reporting works than the first page of http://www.xpertmailer.com/documentation/ ?

I have a working set of scripts that send out various mails each day but seemingly quite randomly one of the mails fails to arrive.

I have always had
Quote:
define('DISPLAY_XPM4_ERRORS', true);

but I am not seeing an error message.

I've just turned on
Quote:
$arr = array(
'type' => 3,
'destination' => '/var/log/XPM4.log'
);
define('LOG_XPM4_ERRORS', serialize($arr));

but I'm not sure that will show any more than the error messages that are not being displayed already.
Can anyone comment on this please?
Also, are there different levels of reporting that I might need to experiment with? Is that what the 'type' setting is about?

Thanks in advance for any help.
Alex

Like documentation says, the only way to save the errors is into a log file or send mail each time when an error ocurred, and, if you use MAIL, SMTP or POP3 class, you can save error details using result php variable:

Well from the documentation and from what you said, I think the error reporting that I have is all that there is, but I am still getting mail that is failing to send intermittently without any sign of any error message anywhere. Can anyone give me any advice on troubleshooting the problem. I've looked in /var/log/XPM4.log and there is nothing and nothing is appearing on the display.
